Friday at work, I decided to go crosscountry skiing Saturday. The snow has been calling my name. We have bless with all this snow. In years past, I put off going until I'd have the time. Then the snow would melts. This is why I have decided to make the time. I want to get out and enjoy life more. Use it more wisely. Well after work, a friend of mine wanted me to go with her to look at a different car. So Saturday, I went with them. I didn't get back until dark. I enjoyed the time with them but my plans were changed. So today, Sunday, I got up before the sun. The air was crisp, the wind was still. I layered my clothes and out I went. Snow was still on the trees and the sky was overcasted. You could see a haze coming off the ground. I felted great. The fields near my house were untouched and looked like a white sheet. As I went further, I could see tracks in the snow. Rabbits, Deer, and other animals. I was hoping to see some of them. The sun was just coming over the hill and the cloud were clearing. I knew that I had things to do at home and it wasn't going to get done with out me. Dishes to do and laundry. Years worth of paper work to reduce. But I wanted put these thoughts down. A new Year, a fresh start, like every day we have in our lives. I'm glad I had this day.
